A major benefit of using Tip N Lift as your chosen supplier is that we are always looking at the product development of our services and new innovations from our suppliers like Hyva, Amco Veba and Marchesi. We want to understand them and how they can help our customers to become more productive, safer and ultimately more cost effective.
Crane Family new features
On the new range of HYVA cranes there are many exciting new features as mentioned in our previous posts. Let’s take a look at few in detail.
The control station
A lot of time has been spent on the new control station and it has been designed to give the operator the fastest and most convenient stabilisation of their vehicle. The main leavers are now fully enclosed in the control station with ease of access. The stabilizer leg levers have been moved to a vertical configuration at the edge of the control station giving the operator an excellent supervisory overview of the operation. This unit comes fully integrated to one main functioning area which can be removed in one block, delivering easy maintenance. The ‘e’ stop and load diagrams are directly in front of the operator giving them full access to all information at all times.
Crane Linkages and booms
The complete HC line now comes with the double power linkage, this is included on both the first and the second boom. The addition of the linkage on the column ensures that the crane is offering its full power throughout the range of operation, this is achieved by maintaining the distance of the ram to the column through the linkage at all positions.
On the second boom the addition of another linkage gives you a wider range of use and it allows a negative angle between the two booms achieving that important extra reach in tight spaces, giving the operator precision in all configurations. In addition to this the cranes are also offered in short boom versions for all configurations, what the short boom version allows is larger cranes to be stowed in smaller bodies. This does this whilst managing higher loads easily due to the close proximity of the column. This configuration which is lighter in structure is designed for high loads in tight spaces.
Lift Control and Proportional lift control
The lift control system and proportional control systems allow the crane to achieve a higher lifting capacity, with the highest precision without affecting the crane weight. These systems work by engaging automatically when the crane is closer to its maximum capacity. Where before cranes would start to under perform, this system allows the crane to reach further and lift more by reducing the oil flow to the individual functions. This process delivers a reduced speed to the crane whilst providing the necessary lift to ensure the load is lifted safely and smoothly at the limit of its capability. With the proportional system this is a gradual process which again limits any dynamic effects to the load.
